Can I register my address if I book an apartment on Wunderflats (Anmeldung)?
Yes, as a tenant you can register your address at the registration office or citizens' office (Anmeldung in Germany) in most apartments offered on Wunderflats.
Please look out for the information on the confirmation of residence (proof of address) in the listing when you make your booking. If "landlord's confirmation of residence (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung)" is included under "Services" as a feature of the apartment, then you can register in this apartment with the authorities.
Can I view the apartment before I rent it?
Once you’ve confirmed your booking and paid the Wunderflats Service Fee for Tenants as well as the rent for the apartment, your chosen apartment is officially reserved for you. This allows us to schedule a viewing with the landlord on your behalf before you sign the rental agreement. Please note that a viewing cannot take place unless payment has been made in advance. Additionally, a viewing may not be possible if the landlord is unavailable or the current tenant does not allow visits.
The good news is that most apartments on our platform have already been verified by our professional real estate photographers. You can recognize these listings by the watermark in the top right corner of the photos. This way, you save valuable time by not needing to schedule in-person viewings!
Do I need SCHUFA information to rent an apartment with Wunderflats?
No, you do not need SCHUFA information to conclude a rental agreement through us. We use other documents such as current payslips or bank account statements to check the financial liquidity of all our tenants.
